Fields of Thought
Fields of Thought (2022) - plaster, ink, dusts and pigments. Each unit with wall hardware is about 8” x 5” x 8”.
This piece reflects on the idea of thoughts as objects, small irregular spheres of unknown environments. They exist in a contained terrain, small fragmented pillars with a flat surface with sand to imply time and stasis. Scattered on the wall like a constellation, some are accessible and can be approached and looked at closely, seeing how sand and pigment has collected in their ridges, or how the light reflects off their surface. Others are higher up, out of reach and too far for close observation.
